TNT gets Deadlier with Rabe, Brenneman

Turner-owned TNT in the US has commissioned a thriller starring American Horror Story’s Lily Rabe and Amy Brenneman of The Leftovers.

Deadlier Than the Male (working title) is being produced by Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories and Turner’s Studio T. Houda Benyamina (Divines) directed the pilot and the series will begin production this summer in New Orleans.

The executive producers are Papandrea (Big Little Lies), Harriet Warner (Call the Midwife, Mistresses), who also wrote the script, and Casey Haver of Made Up Stories.

The series is described as an intense, morally complex thriller about three damaged people trying to start over. Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace), Hamish Linklater (Fantastic Four), Chiara Aurelia (Pretty Little Liars) also star.
