Tele München Group (TMG) has struck a deal with MGM TV giving it rights in German-speaking Europe to TV and film titles including The Hobbit and the next James Bond movie.
The five-year pact grants TMG free-TV rights to Skyfall and the other 22 films in the Bond franchise, plus both Peter Jackson’s upcoming Hobbit movies.
These are among a bundle of other films and TV series – the latter including MTV series Teen Wolf.
“We are also looking forward to bringing top film and TV product from MGM to German TV audiences over the next few years,” said TMG CEO Herbert Kloiber.
“Our five-year deal with TMG marks a significant growth for MGM’s business in Europe,” added Roma Khanna, president of MGM TV and digital.
