TLC to follow Malone under the knife

TLC in the UK has commissioned a one-off special following Shameless actress Tina Malone through a series of cosmetic surgery procedures.

The Discovery-owned female-skewing lifestyle channel has greenlit Tina Malone: My New Body (working title) from True North Productions.

The one-hour special sees Malone attempt to improve her body after a recent pregnancy and dramatic weight loss.

The show was commissioned by VP of production and development for factual entertainment Sarah Thornton for head of TLC UK and Ireland Clare Laycock.

Last year 500,000 viewers tuned in to TLC for Tina Malone: Pregnant at 50.
