TLC courts 90 Day Fiancé

Discovery’s female-skewed cablenet TLC is prepping a six-part series examining the complexities of long distance relationships.

90 Day Fiancé (6×60’) will premiere on TLC in the US on Sunday January 12 at 22.00 (ET/PT).

Each hour-long episode follows couples using the K-1 Visa which allows foreign fiancés of American citizens to live with their perspective husbands for the first time for 90 days.

The couples must cope with language barriers, culture shocks and the stigma of being branded a ‘mail order bride’ and either marry before the visa expires or see the woman forced to return to her homeland.

Four stories will be told across the series on the linear channel with an extra relationship tale screened exclusively on the TLC website.
