Three commissions for Citytv

Canadian broadcaster Citytv, part of Toronto-based Rogers Media, has ordered three new series to be produced out of the province of Saskatchewan.

Fahrenheit Films has been greenlit to start work on Tequila Roadhouse (6×60′), a docusoap about the eponymous nightclub in the province’s capital Saskatoon. The series begins production in January and is set to debut in August 2013.

For kids, Citytv has okayed Space Stretch (8×5′), in which everyday preschool children become astronauts in intergalactic adventures, learning yoga along the way. Cheshire Smile Animation is making the series.

The third commission is the fourth season of live music/interview series The Neighbors Dog, from Plan 9 Films. The new season will see the show grow from half-hour to hour-long episodes.
