The CW seals Sky Vision first

A US network has acquired drama Hooten & the Lady from distributor Sky Vision, marking the first deal between the two companies.

Hooten & the Lady debuted on Sky1 last September

The CW will air the 8×60′ series, which originally aired on UK pay network Sky1. It stars Michael Landes (CSI, Adventures of Superman) and follows a pair of explorers searching for lost treasure.

Produced by Red Planet Productions and penned by writers including Jeff Povey (Silent Witness) and Sarah Phelps (The Casual Vacancy), it features locations such as Bhutan, Ethiopia, the Caribbean and Cambodia.

The series debuted on Sky1 in September last year and is one of a growing number of originals on the channel, which stepped up its commitment to drama in 2015.
