The CW pilots Insatiable, Life Sentence

The CW in the US has ordered pilots for a comedy from Warner Bros TV (WBTV) and a drama from a Dexter executive producer.

Life Sentence, from WBTV and US-based Doozer Productions, is being written by Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith (Significant Mother) and follows a young woman who finds out her terminal cancer diagnosis is wrong.

Cardillo and Keith are attached as executive producers alongside Doozer’s Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold.

Meanwhile, Insatiable, from Dexter exec producer Lauren Gussis, focuses on a lawyer who turns beauty pageant coach to a bullied teenager. Ryan Seacrest and Nina Wass exec produce with Todd Hoffman and Dennis Kim.

It is being produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, Storied Media Group and CBS Television Studios. The shows join Dynasty and Searchers on The CW’s pilot slate.
