TF1 jumps onboard Big Bounce Battle

TF1 in France has ordered a local version of physical gameshow Big Bounce Battle from Endemol Shine France.

RTL has commissioned a second run of Big Bounce Battle

Created by Endemol Shine Netherlands and co-developed by Endemol Shine Germany for German broadcaster RTL, the format is a skill-driven show where contestants tackle obstacle courses of trampolines as fast as they can.

Earlier this year, RTL commissioned a second season of the show, which performed well in younger demographics during its first run in January.

The French version, which will use the same set and studios as Big Bounce Battle Germany, marks the first international deal for the format, and will go into production later this year.

The deal follows last month’s announcement that ABC in the US had commissioned a local version of Endemol Shine Group’s Australian cooking format Family Food Fight and Polish broadcaster Polsat’s order of a local version of entertainment show All Together Now.

The latter debuted in January on UK pubcaster BBC1, with a second season in the works. Nine Network in Australia has also renewed Family Food Fight for a second run.

“We’re only halfway through the year and to have all of our new formats returning and travelling is an incredible achievement of which we’re hugely proud,” said Lisa Perrin, Endemol Shine Group’s CEO of Creative Networks. “TF1 is the ideal home for Big Bounce Battle in France.”
