Telemundo in Powwow pact

Telemundo Media has inked a multi-year, first-look development and production deal with Spanish-language production company Powwow.

The alliance will see Powwow and its CEO Daniel Gutman developing formats and programming for the NBCUniversal-owned US broadcaster, in the areas of variety, entertainment and unscripted.

Powwow is the prodco behind shows including Dance! for Canal 10 (Uruguay), El Líder de la Manada for Cuatro (Spain) and The Leader of the Pack for National Geographic.

“Powwow and Daniel Gutman bring a wealth of expertise in the development and production of Spanish-language television franchises,” said Emilio Romano, president, Telemundo Media.
