The latter format made its debut in Latin America recently on Brazil’s Globo TV as Chefe Secreto, drawing in 30 million viewers.

Telefe programming manager Darío Turovelzky said of Gogglebox: “We have recognised the impact that the show generates with every adaptation that airs worldwide. We know it is a huge success not only on screen but also on social networks and digital platforms.”

The Gogglebox acquisition follows Telefe’s pact agreed yesterday with Endemol Shine for a drama coproduction drawing on Big Brother and last week’s format co-development deal with Keshet International.

The broadcaster already airs interactive talent format Rising Star (Elegidos) and will launch KI show Boom! this month.

Gogglebox is now in its sixth season on the UK’s Channel 4 and its third in the US, Holland, Norway, Poland, Belgium and Slovenia. A Gogglebox Kids special is set to debut in the UK this Christmas.

All3Media International also has two new Studio Lambert formats on its books at Mipcom. The Fear is a talent show for aspiring horror filmmakers made for BBC3, while fact ent show Travel Guides sees five households take on the role of holiday critic. The show launched recently on ITV in the UK and attracted a 14.6% share.
