TCB hires Cineflix sales chief

UK-based distributor TCB Media Rights has appointed a top sales exec at Cineflix to the newly created role of MD.

Llewellyn-Jones: reunited with Heaney

Kate Llewellyn-Jones takes up the position having worked for the UK-based distribution arm of Canadian indie Cineflix since its inception in 2003.

She was promoted to head of sales at Cineflix Rights in 2008, director of sales in 2011 and senior VP of sales management in 2012, overseeing sales in CEE, Asia and key territories including France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and Germany.

She was also charged with overseeing the acquisitions process and will partner up again with Paul Heaney, TCB’s CEO, having been his first sales recruit at Cineflix when he was MD.

Heaney said Llewellyn-Jones would help lead TCB Media Rights into its next phase of development.

Llewellyn-Jones added: “TCB is carving out a niche for itself in the commissioning, pre-sales and distribution world, and being involved at an executive level in this evolving business is all too irresistible a challenge.”
