Turner-owned US cable networks TBS, TNT and TruTV have ordered a host of new series, including an animated comedy from Louis CK (Louie).

The Cops (working title) follows two LA-based police officers, one voiced by CK and the other by co-creator Albert Brooks, as they try their best to protect and serve, sometimes failing at both.

The 10-episode series will be executive produced by the pair alongside Greg Daniels, Dino Stamatopoulos, Dave Becky and Howard Klein.

It will be produced by FX Productions, CK’s prodco Pig Newton and Turner’s Studio T and is slated to premiere in 2018.

Brett Weitz, executive VP of original programming for TBS, said the show marked the beginning of a “serious push into animated comedy for TBS in 2018.”

It is also preparing the animated series Tarantula and Final Space.

Meanwhile, TNT has greenlit a second season of thriller Good Behaviour. The show follows a thief and con artist who leaves prison only to return to a life of crime.

The programme is based on the Letty Dobesh books by Blake Crouch and stars Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery.

Elsewhere, TruTV has ordered an as-yet-untitled scripted comedy from Amy Sedaris, which will go into production this summer. The series was created by and will star Sedaris, with PFFR handling production.
