Syndicado readies war, weddings for Cannes

Tank Biathlon first aired on Russia 1

Canadian digital specialist Syndicado is heading to next month’s MipTV with more than 250 hours of content on its slate, including a Russian series in which tanks from rival nations do battle.

Russian military parade meets sporting spectacle in Tank Biathlon (8×60’), which is among the shows available for VoD platforms. The programme premiered on Russia 1 and features tanks from competing nations battling it out in a spectacular series of military challenges and manoeuvres

Syndicado also has 97 episodes of Rich Bride, Poor Bride, which was originally produced by Canada’s Buck Productions for Slice in Canada and US cablenet WE tv, available for purchase by VoD platforms.

Other wedding-themed reality series on the slate include Petal Pushers (13×22’) and Cake Walk (13×45’), while fellow Buck Productions series Keys to the VIP (39×22’) is also being shopped having previously aired on Comedy Network and Fuse TV.

Other content with a military theme, meanwhile, includes Prelude to War, the classic Frank Capra film that won an Oscar for Best Documentary in 1943.

The company is also representing more than 25 hours of war-themed documentaries featuring rare and archive footage exploring the machinery, operations, leadership and strategies employed by the Allies in World War II.

Titles include The Dambusters Raid, Great American Generals, Memphis Belle and Battle of Britain, plus content with modern military themes such as After Desert Storm and Stealth: The Art of Deception.
