Bitten has been picked up by Syfy in the UK

NBCUniversal International Networks has picked up Canadian supernatural thriller Bitten for one of its UK channels.

Bitten ^[1] is produced by No Equal Entertainment, Hoodwink Entertainment and Entertainment One (eOne) for Canada’s Space and Bell Media, and will now air on Syfy in the UK.

The series is based on the Women of the Otherworld novels by Kelley Armstrong and stars Laura Vandervoort (Smallville, Ted) as a modern-day werewolf.

^[2]The executive producers include JB Sugar for No Equal, Patrick Banister and John Barbisan for Hoodwink and Tecca Crosby, John Morayniss and Margaret O’Brien for eOne. Daegan Fryklind and Grant Rosenberg are exec producers and co-showrunners.

EOne is the worldwide distributor for the series and previously sold ^[3] the first season to broadcasters including HBO Nordic. The show recently ended its third season on Canuck network Space, which chose not to renew it.
