The cast of Vår Tid är Nu (Our Time is Now)

SVT in Sweden has ordered a multi-generational drama set at the end of the Second World War and set in a family-run restaurant.

Vår Tid är Nu (Our Time is Now) explores the lives of the family and delves into the ambitions of each child following the end of the conflict.

The 20-part show is set to air in late 2017 and is being coproduced by SVT, Modern Times Group-owned Viaplay and film fund Film Väst.

The show centres on the Löwander family, who operate one of the most prestigious restaurants in Stockholm, exploring what becomes of the establishment as a new era dawns.

The cast includes Suzanne Reuter, Adam Lundgren, Mattias Nordkvist, Hedda Stiernstedt and Peter Dalle. The main writer is Ulf Kvensler and the story is based on an idea by Johan Rosalind.
