Svensk Filmindustri looks to Darker Sky

MIPTV: Scandinavian producer-distributor Svensk Filmindustri has acquired rights to adapt a new crime novel from Swedish-Norwegian writing duo Mari Jungstedt and Ruben Eliassen.

A Darker Sky is the first book in a new crime series set in the holiday paradise of the Canary Islands and follows the mystery surrounding a woman’s death.

The book was published in Sweden in January 2015 and became a bestseller, with more than 80,000 copies sold.
