Kiefer Sutherland is set to star in a one-off drama commissioned by UK satcaster BSkyB to air on its Sky Arts channel this Christmas.

Marked (1×30’) will air on Sky Arts as part of the channel’s comedy and drama strand Playhouse Presents… with 24 star Sutherland and UK comic Stephen Fry in lead roles.

The story follows the life of a regular man, ground down by the pressures of work, family and money, who agrees to take on a professional hit job for a neighbour – only to find that Fry is the target.

The drama is produced by Sprout Pictures, written and directed by Greg Ellis and was commissioned by Cameron Roach, head of drama at Sky Entertainment. Gina Carter and Fry will executive produce for Sprout and Jo McClellan for Sky.

Sprout previously produced ^[1] a similar half-hour one-off drama Foxtrot for Sky with playwright Polly Stenham.
