Sundance rises in South Africa

The Son

AMC Networks International is expanding the carriage of its SundanceTV channel into South Africa after agreeing a deal with local pay TV operator DStv.

Original drama series The Son, starring Pierce Brosnan, will get a local premiere on the channel alongside critically acclaimed independent films and docs.

The channel is operated by AMC Networks International – UK and will launch on DStv channel 108 on June 1.
