STV Productions has appointed a former executive from fellow Scottish indie Red Sky Productions as head of factual development.

Rosy Marshall-McCrae

Rosy Marshall-McCrae, who was head of development at Red Sky, takes up the newly created position tasked with expanding STV’s domestic and international reach.

Her appointment follows the commissioning of drama Elizabeth is Missing (1×90’) by the BBC and exclusive one-off documentary Britain’s Polar Bear Club (1×60’) for Channel 4.

The company hired Jim Regan recently as head of daytime and popular factual and promoted senior producer Nick Johns to the newly created role of head of entertainment development in February.
