Chris Brogden, previously creative director of entertainment at UK production and distribution group Tinopolis, takes up his new role in October. Celebrity chef Ramsay teamed up with super-indie All3Media to launch the production company in April.

Brogden will work with the London-based development hub to grow Studio Ramsay’s expanding slate in both the UK and US across traditional, digital, subscription, and mobile platforms.

He was previously responsible for the development of entertainment formats across Tinopolis’ 17 UK and US companies including Firecracker and Mentorn Media, as well as being instrumental in bringing Robot Wars back to the BBC.

Previously Brogden executive produced I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! for ITV, The Games for Channel 4, Maestro for BBC and Celebrity Big Brother for Endemol. He joined Sky as entertainment commissioner in 2013 where his credits included Wild Things, Coldplay: Ghost Stories and Relatively Clever.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Tinopolis but roles as exciting as this are rare,” he said.

Ramsay added: “Chris has a wealth of knowledge in the unscripted arena, and an energy and enthusiasm that falls right in line with our dynamic team. We’re really looking forward to welcoming him aboard.”

Ramsay has been working with All3Media since 2010 when the firm bought UK unscripted prodco Optomen, which has a joint venture with Ramsay called One Potato Two Potato.

Ramsay is behind UK series Hell’s Kitchen, which launched on ITV in 2004 before being adapted in the US for Fox, with both shows fronted by the chef. He is also known for his Kitchen Nightmares series, which again had UK and US versions.
