Spike spins talker after Bar Rescue

Spike in the US has ordered a pilot for a late night talkshow spun off from its Bar Rescue series, which has also been extended.

A fifth season of Bar Rescue, made up of 30 episodes, has been ordered in addition to 10 more Back to the Bar specials and the as-yet-untitled talker.

The series and pilot will be produced by 3 Ball Entertainment and executive produced by Jon Taffer, hospitality expert and star of the show.

The fifth season will debut on August 7, with the additional Back to the Bar specials airing throughout the Bar Rescue run of original episodes on Sunday nights.

Bar Rescue follows Taffer across the US as he helps failing establishments to transform themselves into profitable businesses.
