Spike ready for Savage relic hunt

A new series where wrestler-turned-relic-hunter Ric Savage convinces property owners to let his team excavate their land will debut on US cablenet Spike TV next month.

American Digger will air on Spike TV in the US for the first time on Tuesday March 20 at 22.00 (ET/PT).

The series follows former wrestler Ric Savage and the team from his American Savage artefact recovery company around the country as they scour former battlefields and historic sites in the hope of uncovering artefacts from American history.

Viewers can look forward to a 17th century British naval cannon, a 5 million year old shark tooth and a 19th century Kentucky long rifle turning up buried in the back gardens of everyday Americans during the first season.

The 13×30′ series is produced by Gurney Productions which is also making Louisiana fisherman series Ragin’ Cajuns for Discovery and scored a commission last week from A&E Network for Duck Dunasty.
