Slovenia signs up for Master Class

A Slovenian broadcaster is set to air a local version of Israeli children’s singing format Master Class, following a deal with Keshet International.

The talent show, in which children sing all-time popular songs with only positive reviews and no eliminations, will be produced locally in Slovenia by Paprika Latino for Planet TV.

A 12-episode first season is planned for 2015 and the series will also be available on a dedicated channel on Telekom Slovenia.

Meanwhile, Hungary’s TV2 has commissioned a third season of the show after it increased the average audience for the timeslot by 250%, according to Keshet.

A 12×90’ season of Master Class is soon to launch on Beijing Satellite TV in China, through a co-development deal with 3C Media.

The news follows the show’s recent launch on MegaTV Channel in Greece, where it became the leading show of the night in primetime, achieving a 33.5% share of the channel’s 15-44 target demo – a slot increase of 50% on a month earlier.
