Sky1 looks ahead to Legends of Tomorrow

Sky1 in the UK has picked up superhero drama DC’s Legends of Tomorrow for its 2016 schedule.

The show is based on the iconic DC Comics characters and comes from Arrow producer Berlanti Productions, with Warner Bros International Television Distribution handling worldwide sales.

The series, due to air on The CW in the US, follows time-travelling rogue Rip Hunter who, having seen the future, must put together a group of heroes and villains to take on the threat of Vandal Savage.

Sky1 recently launched superhero show Supergirl, which claimed a consolidated audience of 1.64 million, according to the satcaster.
