Factual channel RMC Decouverte is amongst a number of French broadcasters that have picked up more than 100 hours of programming from UK-based distributor Sky Vision.

RMC Decouverte has acquired a 51-hour package of shows from the international distribution arm of European satcaster Sky, including Gangland Killers (6×60’), which was launched at MipTV in April, and focuses on the battles between rival gangs in the animal kingdom.

The French network, which launched in December 2012, has also added the first five seasons of Caught in the Act (18×60’) and Paranatural (3×60’).

Meanwhile, pubcaster group France Télévisions will air Hope for Wildlife (13×60’) and Snow Monkeys (1×60’), with marine life special Sea Monsters (1×60’) will air on France 4.

TF1 Histoire has added 18 hours of shows including BBC documentaries The Secret Life of Uri Geller (1×60’) and Pipers of the Trenches (1 x60’), as well as shark docs Return of Jaws (1×60’) and Spawn of Jaws (1×60’), which were also sold to sister channel Ushuaia.

AB Droits Audiovisuels has added Sky1 show Flintoff’s Road to Nowhere (2×60’) and both seasons of The Water Brothers (6×30’ and 7×30’), which follows eco-adventurer brothers Alex and Tyler Mifflin as they explore the delicate state of the Earth.

Leona Connell, head of global sales at Sky Vision, brokered the deals and said the sales proved the company’s expanding partnerships in France following the pre-sale deal for Sky Atlantic crime drama Fortitude, which will air on Canal+.
