Sky schedules Gibney Scientology doc

Sky Atlantic in the UK has set an air date for a documentary coproduced with HBO and made by Alex Gibney that claims to expose the inner workings of the Church of Scientology.

Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief was postponed in April after reported legal pressure was put on the UK satcaster.

C21 reported in June that Sky was close to airing the show having taken legal advice and it has now said it will premiere on September 21 at 21.00.

The show is produced by Sky, HBO, HBO Documentary Films and Jigsaw Productions and explores the history of the organisation and a series of allegations against it.
