It will be hosted by Formula 1 presenter Steve Jones with expert commentary from professional racing driver Robb Holland.

The 6×60’ series will be coproduced by London-based Twenty Twenty and transatlantic outfit Motion Content Group (MCG).

Amanda Westwood and Joanne Timoney will exec produce for Twenty Twenty alongside MCG’s Martin Oxley and series producer Ronan Browne.

The show was commissioned for Sky by Phil Edgar-Jones, head of entertainment and director at Sky Arts; Adam MacDonald, director of Sky One; and Zai Bennett, director of programmes at Sky Entertainment UK and Ireland.

“We want entertainment shows that look and feel like movies for Sky1 and Faster: Race the World delivers this in spades,” said Edgar-Jones.

Emma Willis, who took over as MD of Twenty Twenty at the end of last year, hailed the show as “bold and ambitious.”
