Sky Living takes Lopez’s Shades, Nashville

Sky Living in the UK is expanding its US drama line-up after acquiring Jennifer Lopez vehicle Shades of Blue and the fourth installment of musical drama Nashville.

Both series join Sky Living’s growing portfolio of US series, which includes Scandal, Elementary, The Blacklist, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Bones and Blindspot. Shonda Rhimes’ new show, The Catch, will also soon feature on the channel.

Shades of Blue, acquired from NBCUniversal International Distribution, stars Lopez as a charismatic single mother and detective at the heart of a close-knit crew of Brooklyn detectives.

It airs on NBC in the US and hails from Universal Television, Nuyorican Productions, EGTV, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Jack Orman Productions.

Meanwhile, Nashville – created by Callie Khouri – stars Connie Britton (American Crime Story) as a country music superstar.

The ABC show is executive produced by Khouri, Steve Buchanan and Dee Johnson. It is produced by ABC Studios in association with Lionsgate Television and is distributed worldwide by ABC Domestic Television.
