Sky brings Aquarius to Europe

Sky has picked up rights to NBC drama Aquarius for its Sky Atlantic network in the UK, Ireland, Italy Germany and Austria.

The show, starring David Duchovny (The X Files), is produced by Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between ITV Studios and Marty Adelstein, and was acquired from ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

It follows Duchovny as an LA homicide detective whose investigation into a missing girl leads him into the dark activities of a strange cult run by a small-time but charismatic leader Charles Manson.

It will start airing in the UK and Ireland on Tuesday August 11 at 21.00.
