Sky Arts tunes up New Order feature

Influential 1980s band New Order appeared at the Manchester International Festival 2017

Sky Arts in the UK has commissioned a feature documentary about iconic British 1980s band New Order from All3Media-backed prodco Caravan.

New Order: Decades (1×120’) is produced and directed by Mike Christie (Hansa Studios: By The Wall 1976-90), marking 40 years since the band’s first TV appearance.

Part concert and part doc, it follows the band’s preparations as they re-stage their acclaimed collaboration So It Goes with the artist Liam Gillick and a 12-piece synthesiser orchestra during the Manchester International Festival 2017.

Sky Arts will air the doc in the UK on September 22.

Founded by Dinah Lord and Juliet Singer in 2015, Caravan produces specialist factual programmes, documentaries and current affairs series for the UK, US and international market. It was backed by All3Media in 2016.
