Sky Arts enters Wells’ worlds

Ray Winstone will narrate The Nightmare Worlds of HG Wells

Sky Arts has commissioned a four-part miniseries starring Ray Winstone as prolific British sci-fi writer HG Wells.

The Nightmare Worlds of HG Wells (4×30’) will see The Departed actor narrate the series, which contains four stories: The Story of the Late Mr Elvesham, The Purple Pileus, The Moth and The Devotee of Art.

The series, produced by Clerkenwell Films to mark the 150th anniversary of the author’s birth, was penned by Graham Duff and will be directed by Mad Dogs’ Adrian Shergold.

Sky Arts will air the series in 2016.
