Skala takes Novel approach

Horrid Henry producer Novel Entertainment has tapped former Hit Entertainment exec Christopher Skala to grow its brands in the digital space.

Skala is joining the Novel Entertainment team as a consultant having left his role as senior VP, programming and TV Sales at Guinness World Records (GWR) in December last year.

Prior to joining GWR in 2011, Skala spent more than six years at Thomas & Friends and Bob the Builder producer Hit as its senior VP programming and productions.

Before that, Skala was senior producer at Tiger Aspect, where he oversaw the creation of Charlie & Lola and the animated version of Mr Bean.

The exec will now work with Lucinda Whiteley and Mike Watts, owners of Novel Entertainment, to explore opportunities across digital media for its key brands, which also include The Fimbles and The Roly Mo Show, both in the UK and internationally.

Skala is currently MD of his own company, Skala Consultancy, which specialises in content strategy, funding and development for digital and production companies and broadcasters.
