Shout! makes noise about new hire

LA-based Shout! Factory has appointed a veteran executive and formats producer to the newly created role of development director.

Jeremy Whitham will develop series and movies about pop culture for television and digital entertainment services at Shout, reporting to company co-founder and president Garson Foos.

Whitham is a veteran executive and producer with more than 15 years of experience developing formats for television.

Most recently, he was VP of development at US prodco Smart Dog Media, where he helped to develop formats that aired on NBC, Syfy, Food Network, History Channel and Twitch.

Previously, Whitham spent more than six years at BBC Worldwide Productions as an executive for the BBC’s first LA-based development team where he produced series for primetime TV and syndication.
