Shine TV revamps factual, features

Endemol Shine Group is rejigging its factual and feature teams at Shine TV with the promotions of two exec producers.

Lorna-Dawn Creanor is taking up the newly created post of head of features, while Ben Mitchell has been promoted to the new role of head of popular factual. Both have responsibility to create and produce new and returning formats for UK broadcasters.

Creanor became an in-house exec producer at Shine TV in 2013 and has worked on shows including Sky1’s The Force and BBC1’s daytime hit Council House Crackdown.

Mitchell joined Shine TV in 2012 and co-developed and executive produced The Island with Bear Grylls for Channel 4, having previously worked on Shipwrecked and Undercover Boss for the UK pubcaster.

Both will report to Shine TV MD Tanya Shaw and will work with creative director Tim Whitwell, marking the first executive promotions since Shaw and Whitwell took up their posts in November.

The duo were promoted after Kelly Webb-Lamb revealed she would be leaving the prodco at the end of 2015.
