Shine producer to tend Garden

ITV Studios-owned producer The Garden has hired a Shine producer to fill the newly created role of head of factual formats.

Chloë Solomon will be responsible for developing and exec producing new formatted factual series, reporting to CEOs Nick Curwin and Magnus Temple on securing new commissions and to newly promoted director of programmes David Wise on production.

Solomon was previously an exec producer at Shine where she worked to expand the producer’s factual output.

Meanwhile, Mark Rossiter joins the firm as acting head of development, covering Louise Doolan’s maternity leave. Rossiter, who was most recently head of development at Firecracker Films, will report to director of development Kate Collier. Solomon and Rossiter will join The Garden next week.

ITV bought The Garden for US$27.4m in 2013. The deal marked the second time founders Curwin and Temple had sold a company, following Shine’s buy-out of their prodco Firefly (later rebranded as Dragonfly) in 2007.
