Cellcom, the largest telecommunications company in the country, will launch the portfolio of lifestyle entertainment channels in HD from September 1 as part of its basic package.

Content will be subtitled in Hebrew, a first for Scripps Networks, bringing the company’s total language count to 30.

“As Scripps Networks continues its expansion, it is rewarding to see the demand and impact we’re having in such an important market like Israel,” said Phillip Luff, MD of UK & EMEA for Scripps.

“With our full portfolio launching on Cellcom, we are confident that our localised content will resonate with new viewers, providing them with world-class lifestyle programmes that celebrate everything that is bold, fun and entertaining.”

The portfolio features titles including Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Paul Hollywood City Bakes on Food Network, House Hunters International and World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides on Travel Channel and Giada Entertains and Million Dollar Contractor on Fine Living.

In the UK and EMEA, Scripps distributes three lifestyle brands on DTT and pay TV platforms. Food Network, Travel Channel and Fine Living are collectively available in almost 120 countries and territories, with 10 feeds broadcast in 23 languages.
