Scripps eats with YouTube’s Hart

Scripps Networks Interactive-owned Food Network has tapped a YouTube star famous for cooking while intoxicated to front a new travel series.

Hannah Hart

The as-yet-untitled 6×30’ project will see Hannah Hart eating in various US cities on a budget determined by that city’s average dining-out price.

Hart, who rose to fame with her weekly YouTube format My Drunk Kitchen, will also feature in content for Food Network’s website and will leverage her large social media following to draw viewers to the show.

The series will be produced by Morgan Spurlock and Jeremy Chilnick’s prodco Warrior Poets and is due to head into production later this summer ahead of a potential debut in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Since making a name for herself on YouTube, Hart has coproduced and starred in Lionsgate’s forthcoming comedy Dirty 30, while she is currently in development on numerous scripted series for television.
