It’s a drama about a group of young people who study at an Amsterdam-based performing arts school for singers, dancers and actors, but it’s no ordinary scripted show. Anyone can be cast as a pre-written character in the series if they post an internet audition tape on the show’s website and win enough votes.
Each week viewers watch the auditions online and use an interactive voting tool to decide which up-and-coming young performer gets a part… and which existing character should leave. The losers’ exit scenes are shot the day after the previous week’s voting closes.
