Dirty Old Towns is on a mission - to clean up towns which have let themselves go, and to launch regeneration projects – not with money, but with the power of people living there.
This is not a show about picking up litter: it’s a bigger idea. It’s about the huge potential we find if a community get together and put their will and hard work in to it. It´s about a community doing it for themselves.
In each series we make one town the capital of change, and watch as they take on headline projects throughout the series. Then in each episode individual towns take on smaller projects. And every week, one town has the chance to take on our Weekend Challenge to show how much they can get done in 48 hours.
The show uses social networking, the internet, and live radio to create a 360 media event.
