One of the most popular stories ever told: Rama is the original Indian super hero, the bravest warrior, the ideal king, and a virtuous human being. Rama, the prince of Ayodhya, wins the contest organized by king Dashrath to select a husband for his daughter Sita.
Rama and Sita are happily married and the aging king Dashrath decides to crown Rama as king. However, one of his wives conspires to get Rama banished from the kingdom for fourteen years. Together with his younger brother Laxman, Rama and Sita journey to the jungles to live in exile.
While in the jungle, Ravan, the king of Lanka, abducts Sita and flies away with her. Rama collects an army of monkey men and marches on Lanka to rescue Sita. Thus begins the epic battle between the forces of good and evil—an amazing demonstration of heroism and super power. During the battle, Rama defeats Ravan, rescues Sita and returns victorious to the Kingdom of Ayodhya.
