Created by Endemol UK, Pointless sees contestants test the depths of their knowledge as they attempt to find the little known or forgotten answers that no-one else could think of. Every question on Pointless has been asked to a panel of 100 people before the show – to find out the most obvious and the most obscure answers. Success or failure depends on the player’s ability to dig deep and dismiss the obvious to find the answer the fewest people knew.
Pairs of contestants compete for a cash prize by finding the most elusive answers – and scoring the fewest points. The Holy Grail is a pointless answer – an answer that none of the 100 people thought of.
In the thrilling finale, one question stands between the remaining brainy pair and the cash prize. All they have to do is come up with just one more Pointless answer and the jackpot is theirs. But if they fail, the money rolls over to the next show.
