With unprecedented access to an active Ambulance service, the series will give audiences a unique insight into the extensive training each paramedic undertakes to equip them with the clinical skill they’ll need for a long career on the road.
Over the course of six months the series will follow a group of trainees as they enter the paramedic training program and begin the journey towards becoming an emergency paramedic. From day one they’ll be bombarded by complex medical information and be expected to recall what they have learnt in high pressure
simulation situations. Each of the cadets knows that there is no time for mistakes at the college – in a matter of weeks they’ll be on the road as trainee paramedic where a small mistake could cost someone their life.
Not all of the trainees make it through the course. Training is confronting, physically and emotionally challenging and simply not for everyone.
