Using as a façade the furor and party clutter that the first version of the world´s Champeta festival in today´s Cartagena originated, the powerful band of Harvey Noriega, dedicated to large and spectacular robberies, has the mission of robbing the Santa Helena, an old treasure rescued from the bottom of the ocean and hidden in the guarded Colombo-Spanish Bank´s vault. But what seemed like the perfect plan ends up being an overwhelming failure, because Vicente Domínguez de Alba, President of the bank, is able to stop the crime, where unfortunately, Harvey’s son dies and Candelario is captured.
Harvey, owner of Bazurto, a night club that at the same time is used as the headquarters of the band, wants revenge. He must also fulfill his job and steal the Santa Helena no matter what; that´s why he needs to infiltrate in Vicente´s life to find out the new place where the treasure is hidden, and he will do it through Vicente´s biggest weakness: his daughter Sofía. To achieve this he must trick his god-daughter Flora, Candelario´s sister, who will do anything to get his brother out of jail and naively accepts to pretend to be a “high society´s” young lady in order to become close with Sofía.
The decision won´t be easy for Flora, a beautiful and humble woman who lives for Champeta, an original music genre of Cartagena, and whose dream is to win the world championship with her boyfriend Watusi. Flora has to completely change her life now, her beliefs and her tastes in order to be accepted by the Domínguez de Alba family and discover where the Santa Helena is, without knowing that she´s part of a plan to murder Vicente.
Through this mission, Flora will begin to discover that she´s playing for the wrong side and pushed by the inevitable love she´s starting to feel for Vicente, she will change the course of the original plan to destroy Harvey´s band, who thought he had everything under control. But sometimes deception and love can get out of hand.
