TALKING SHOP: The Mob Film Company's Vadim Jean runs C21 through an eventful year for the UK drama producer, during which it was acquired by ProSiebenSat.1-owned Red Arrow Entertainment.
In this episode, Jean explains how the weight of the international production group has helped his company. "One of the great things about becoming part of Red Arrow was we always wanted to 'supercharge' the scale of what we do – in particular the development slate," says Jean.
"In the current market we needed to become a bigger company, and what Red Arrow has allowed us to do is focus on developing the very highest-quality projects for UK broadcasters – but also with an eye to making big international coproductions, which is where we came from."
In this episode, Jean reveals The Mob's development slate includes a new period miniseries, a returning crime drama, a fourth Terry Pratchett adaptation and a show written by a first-time TV scribe.
