In this episode of Talking Shop, Rightster founder and CEO Charlie Muirhead talks about the firm's shift from its early fashion streaming deals to distributing news content for the likes of ITN, agreeing a deal with sports rights holders MP & Silva and its recent move to distribute and coproduce viral videos based on well-known clips like 'Charlie bit my finger' with management company Viral Spiral.
He also discusses the growing business opportunities opening up in the online video space, noting that Rightster itself has grown from around 30 members of staff last year to some 170 globally today and has set up its own studio arm.
