THE C21 INTERVIEW: Emmo Lempert, head of series at Studio Hamburg, tells C21 about the German market for telenovelas, and how he's now looking around Europe for drama coproduction opportunities.

Lempert oversees one of Germany's biggest telenovelas, daytime soap Red Roses (Rote Rosen) on ARD, which has clocked up more than 800 episodes. "I'm now looking to develop a detective series for Europe," he says.
