Discovery Networks International has commissioned two science series from London-based indies Blink Films and October Films: World’s Top 5 (6x60′) and You Have Been Warned (6x60′).
McIntyre told Talking Shop these were "heartland" Discovery commissions, capable of playing in multiple territories and becoming returnable series.
Outlining her wants and needs to producers, McIntyre said: "The key thing is not to bring subjects but takes on subjects.
"I'll often get emails saying 'Have you thought of doing anything on World War One?' I want to help guide producers on this. It's more about what format could we then put that subject into. It doesn't have to be a complex format, it can be something with a little twist or interesting new take on something.
"I can help guide people through that. I'd like to develop ideas with people to make sure they're really on brand."
