TALKING SHOP: FremantleMedia's central new media division FMX found success last year by developing digital extensions to hit format The X Factor in the UK, US and Australia – something it wants to push further this year, says the division's senior VP Claire Tavernier.

In this episode, Tavernier also discusses Fremantle's upcoming Pets & Animals YouTube channel, due to launch this spring, and explains how 30-year-old Family Feud upped its television audience by 30% following the roll-out of a Facebook game.

In addition, she claims that YouTube's recent investment in 100 original content channels is a "great sign" for the industry.
