RocketJump Studios was behind Video Game High School, which airs on its own site and via YouTube, and was funded through crowdfunding and brand integrations. The show is now into its third season and Waller says much of its success has been because of the way it was created.

“It’s been a real big success for us and part of that has been because we had creative control over the process. We were doing what we wanted to do and writing what we wanted to write and the directors could make it as they wanted to.

“We’ve just signed a multi-year first-look deal with Lionsgate that gives the freedom to explore more longer form content and we know there’s the potential for it to get a greenlight and go to series.”
