OUR HOUSE is a powerful story of a woman faced with unimaginable challenges as she uncovers her husband’s secrets and the origin of the blackmail that has led to the loss of her home. Despite terrible revelations, Fi has an immense inner strength to draw upon and a witty, ironic take on the world. However, as the series proceeds she can’t help wonder if she had been less obsessed with material trappings, the nightmare might never have happened. As the drama builds to the climax, Fi’s strength of character is challenged to the max and finally, all that pent-up self-control she’s exerted for so long bursts. The loss of the house, together with her betrayal by Toby (Rupert Penry-Jones) is the trigger which turns her into someone driven to murder and leads to a genuinely brave and surprising finale which is grounded absolutely in truth
